The consortium meeting of the VEGANScreener project took place at MedUni Vienna from March 5 to 6, 2025. Our team was joined by colleagues from Spain, the Czech Republic, Belgium and Switzerland. Together we reflected on the work packages to date, discussed initial data evaluations and the final phase of the project. Among other things, our doctoral student Sandra Müller presented the development and allocation of the food groups required for the nutritional analysis. Vanessa Keller, research assistant in the VEGANScreener project, was able to present the initial results of her master’s thesis, in which she is investigating the attitudes of vegan study participants towards meat alternatives.
After a productive day, we ended the evening at a traditional wine tavern – a perfect setting that also allowed for personal exchange. The next morning, discussions continued in order to decide on the next steps for the data analysis, including the planned publications.
We would like to thank everyone involved for the valuable exchange!
