Study design

Transport by plane has a major impact on the CO2 balance and is therefore highly damaging to the climate. The aim of the study was to investigate for which foods and at which seasons of the year on the German market it’s likely that they have been delivered by airplane. Therefore, the existing literature was reviewed, an expert survey was conducted and relevant data sources were inspected and evaluated.
