The 61st Scientific Congress of the German Nutrition Society (DGE) took place in Kassel from March 4 to 6, 2024. This year’s conference focussed on the topic of “Ernährung und Alltagsbewältigung – ein Spannungsfeld für Individuum, Haushalt und Gesellschaft”. A main item on the programme was the presentation of the new Food-Based Dietary Guidelines for Germany by the DGE. The IFPE was represented with several poster presentations and a lecture, including first results of the MultiVeg study, as well as further analyses from the VeChi-Youth study and the PREGGIE study. With around 600 participants, the congress was once again very well attended this year. The complete programme can be downloaded here.
